Do I need a tradie to install my heater?
The Euro-Blade Carbon Infrared Heater does not require an electrician, no hard wiring is needed. The heater comes with four metal brackets which are included for you to mount the unit. Simply mount onto a wall or ceiling space, plug it in and you’re set!
Kindly note that extension cables need to be recommend and installed by an electrician as poor quality extension cables are a fire risk.

How long is the power cord? 
The cord is 1.8 metres long, you can use an extension cord if needed (see note above), although it is best to have this plugged directly into the source of power.

Does it come with a stand?
The EuroBlade heater does not come with a stand, however it comes with a mounting kit with four brackets so you can mount it onto your wall or ceiling space. There is a step by step guide showing you how to attach the brackets and mount it to your wall/ceiling.

Is it okay to install my heater outside?
Yes! Because the Euro Blade 2000w model is water and dust resistant (IP55 certified) it means that it can be hung inside or outside. The protection grill is made from high corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel. Euro Blade are one of the worlds leading manufacturers of carbon infrared heaters so you can be assured that each and every part of the heater has been carefully designed to provide strong and long-life performance.  

Is infrared safe?
The infrared heat waves that are distributed from the EuroBlade Heater are not harmful and unlike sunlight, it does not contain any UV (UV is at the other end of the light spectrum). The Infrared light generated by the EuroBlade is known as "Short Wavelength Infrared" or "IR-B" with a wavelength in the 1.4–3 μm range. 

What are the safety features of the heater?
It is good practice to unplug your heater when it is not in use.
Your EuroBlade also has a handy timer, so when the timer is set, the heater will automatically shut down at the end of the configured time.

Can it run off a generator?
As long as your generator can run off the largest power supply which is 2000W

How many amps at 2000 watts? 
We can confirm that if the heater is on 2000W it will roughly be 8amps. 

How much does it cost to run?
There are four different power settings on the EuroBlade Heater: 800W, 1200W, 1600W, 2000W. The lower wattage settings will be the most cost efficient in electricity usage.

In regards to the amount it costs to run, this depends on your energy provider and what you pay per kilowatt hour. This can be found on your power bill statement. We have a rough estimation for your reference based on paying an average $0.25 per kWh:

Level 1 - 800W - $0.20 an hour
Level 2 - 1200W - $0.30 an hour 
Level 3 - 1600W - $0.40 an hour 
Level 4 - 2000W - $0.50 an hour 

How many do you need for outside?
The Euroblade can cover up to 30sqm indoors and 16sqm outdoors. If you require more than one unit for your space we recommend mounting them opposite sides of the area facing in. This will ensure that your entire space stays warm and cosy!

Does it have a sensor to switch off?

The heater does not have a sensor, however you may set a timer on your remote which will switch the heater off when the time lapses!

Can it be mounted vertically?

Yes it can! If you don’t have any space horizontal on your wall, installing your heater vertically is fine too.

Can it go in the bathroom?
You can certainly install your heater in a bathroom, it is great for condensation. Do not install directly above a shower or bath, and ensure that it is mounted 1800mm above the floor and at least 500mm under the ceiling.

How long does the bulb last?
The bulb in our EuroBlade lasts for 10,000 hours!

How do you replace the bulb?
If you are within your warranty, please reach out to us and we can replace your bulb for you. Alternatively, we sell replacement bulbs and recommend an electrician to reinstall, or we also offer out of warranty service for a small fee.

What is the warranty?
